Resources & Templates

Listed below are the processes and tools to support you in creating Resource Kits and activities, including templates, documentation, and instructional videos.

This Resource Kit Planning Guide walks you through 6 essential tasks that we recommend for creating student-friendly, high quality Resource Kits! Save this PDF to your Google Drive or download a version to save to your computer so that you can reference it throughout your Resource Kit planning.

There are two additional supports (both linked into the Planning Guide Template above); the Planning Guide Template and the Educator Overview.

  • The template is an optional support, it helps you keep track of your thinking and work as you plan a Resource Kit. It can be easily shared and worked on in partnership with your team.
  • The Educator Overview is a required support made for educators. It allows museums to quickly share the most important aspects of the Resource Kit with educators as well as any additional information (like vocabulary, additional links and guidance recommendations).

Refer to our Activity descriptions for a quick overview of the different types of activities that can be used within Resource Kits. Additional resources like quick overviews and how to videos about activities can also be found for Narrative, Slideshow, Timeline, and Hotspot as well as Escape Room, Apples to Oranges, and Annotations.
